Dear client, I'm Bernadette, the founder of cratesofbeauty.com and I’d love to share a brief introduction to our brand with you - I run all things except the actual weaving which I leave up to our skilled resident artisans on our weavery in Joostenbergvlakte (Cape Town). We are a 100% locally made lighting and slow commerce collective. Born during COVID, I believe very firmly in empowering our local economy, that the power of beauty is its ability to connect us to the divine, and that beauty in its purest form is always sustainable. We’re celebrating spring with a fresh new look, and a product launch that personifies our florescence… We've made it! Well…at least in the Southern Hemisphere and the Republic of Cape Town where we are allergic to winter, we’re being extra, not just about the weather, but with a blossoming splash - we have a website glam up, and we’re launching a brand new range of burgeoning table lamps. New website - Our aim is to focus on storytelling, and including you; our discerning supporters that appreciate value and authenticity, in what makes Crates of Beauty personal, what matters to us, and hopefully resonates with you too. Some highlights: new visual treats, a 10% gift voucher when you purchase 3 or more pendants, and our new zebra variant now available on all bamboo pendants. New product launch - in true Spring fever, we’ve created something truly winsome, a brightening table lamp range of woven shades in our ilala cross weave, paired with colorful ceramic bases in collaboration with Cape Town based ceramicists including Helen Searra and Juliet Eidelman.
